Product Guide

We want you to love your purchase, so we have created this page to provide you with the most information to help you order the right stuff.

Washing instructions

We recommend washing all garments before wearing. Before the design is printed on the garment, our printers often use a “pre-treatment” spray to ensure a quality, lasting print.  This can cause the shirt to feel a little bit stiff around the area of the design, but don’t worry, this goes away after after washing.  Please follow the washing instructions listed on the tag.

Sizing disclaimer

Everyone’s body shape is different and so is their preference for how they like their clothing to fit.  We do our best to describe each of our products in detail, but even still there can be slight differences in each garment, even if it is the same style or color.  Please read sizing descriptions and measurements carefully and also the description of how the garment “runs” or generally fits.  If a garment “runs true to size” that is based off our interpretation of today’s standards, but this is something that can be relative to each persons idea of what a size should fit like.  Most of our shirts or more of a modern, more fitted shape, however please read each product description because we do offer more traditional fitting items as well.

Colors

We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colors of our products that appear on the website. However, as the actual colors you see will depend on your monitor, we cannot guarantee that your monitor’s display of any color will be accurate.

Men’s/Unisex T-shirt Info

We use many of the same retail quality blank t-shirts used by breweries and other local artists.  Next Level, Canvas, District, and Anvil are some of the brands we use for our modern fitting shirts.  They have plenty of length but are a little tighter around the sleeves* and chest. For our traditional fitting items we use Gildan and Jerzees.

*After washing you may notice the sleeves are fairly tight.  If you give a little tug on the cuff at the seem near your arm pit it will stretch out a bit and fit more comfortably without doing any damage to the shirt.

As a reference, Idaho Beer Gear’s owner is 6’2″ and weighs around 185Lbs (depending on the season:).  He generally considers himself a large, but can also wear the XL.  If you are in between sizes or buying for someone else, we recommend going up a size, just to be safe.  For women purchasing the unisex t-shirts, we recommend ordering one size smaller than what you would order in a women’s fit. These shirts are form fitting and do look flattering on ladies.

Women’s T-shirts

Unfortunately the blank garment industry seems to out of touch with what size women actually are.  We have searched and searched for women’s garments that “run true to size,” but it is pretty much impossible to find anything of quality that doesn’t run small.  We recommend ordering a size up and perhaps even two sizes up if you prefer a more “flowy” fit.

Hats

All of our hats are adjustable or “flexfit.” At this time we have no intention of carrying fully fitted caps.  All designs are embroidered.  The images on the product listing are “mock-ups” so there may be a slight difference between that image and the product you receive.

Stickers

All stickers are rated for indoor and outdoor use (waterproof).
